Taylor grew up in the desserts of New Mexico but was always drawn to the ocean and finds a deep sense of peace of being in and around water. She now lives in Northern California and her freediving journey began in 2019 after the birth of her daughter, during a time when she faced severe postpartum depression and the isolating challenges of motherhood during a global pandemic. In this difficult period, Taylor found freediving to be more than a just a weekend hobby, it was her therapy. The sport became an escape where she could quiet her mind, find solace, and reconnect with herself. Freediving not only brings her peace but also reveals a mental strength and resilience. Now, as an instructor, Taylor is passionate about sharing the transformative power of freediving with others, especially those navigating mental health challenges. Her mission is to help others find empowerment, tranquility, and self-discovery beneath the waves. Taylor aims to teach mindfully, prioritize safety and meet students where they are -whether its the spearo looking to up their game or those wanting to try a new sport and dive in.
